The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information to assist the RCAF with the review of existing offers from industry partners. 3. BACKGROUND DND operates Aircraft Arresting Systems (AAS) in support of Canadian Armed Forces and NORAD operations at Forward Operating Locations (FOLs) in northern Canada. These systems are critical to ensuring aircraft safety during emergency landings and operational contingencies.
